   Well, there is a bit of news.  We will not renew our lease at this location.  In order to survive this downward economy, we must cut overhead.  That means move to lower rent building.  If anyone has suggestions or knows of a good place, please call or email with the address and contact number.  At this time, we are open to suggestions.  We prefer to stay in the Homewood area.
    Keep up with the details each week via news email.  We will begin slashing prices on some items (not all). Those items will not be stocked after the move.
   Classes will continue until the move.  Attached is the rest of this month's classes.

Jan 20    Back to the Simple.  It is all in the papers you choose.  We will look at 3 different layering cards andwill

  1 PM        have a simple message for each…hello, thank you, etc.    Materials included.  $8.00

 

Jan 22   Scallops and Snowflakes.    We will be using both to make some elegant cards.  Layering is one technique we

  11  AM    will use and another is teabag folding.   Blue is the color for one.  All materials included.  $9.00

 

Jan 22     Zutter Bound Books.  We will decorate several pages to use in a book, make front and back from tag

  1 PM         board and then bind it all together.    Use to book to store photos or make a list of “wants”.  

                    All supplies included.  $10.00

 

Jan 27  Wall Paper Fun.  We will be using wall paper squares to design cards.  You will not believe what you can

  1 PM      with this!  It makes a unique card.  Embellish and you have a 1 of a kind card.  All materials included.  $8.00

 

Jan 29    Honey Comb Heart Card.  Learn how to make your own honey comb paper for some unique fold out cards.

   11 AM      Supplies included.  $10.00

 

Jan 29    Electrifying Frames.  We will be using plastic face plates to make this 3 panel frame.  The ribbons and

  1 PM         papers make it POP!  This technique can also be used to make ornaments for any holiday.  Both uses will

                    be looked at  during class.     All supplies included.  $12.00

    Did you think I forgot about the year end drawing for the surprise basket??  Well, I did.  In all the chaos,  I forgot to mention it, SO... the drawing will be this Saturday at 4 PM.  If you have a "Round Table Rewards Card" completed but not cashed in, you will have the rest of the week to do so. Or, if you have one almost completed you can still finish it and get it in the drawing.  There will be a large basket and a small basket.  The companies have not been as generous this year plus I have not been to a tradeshow BUT there will be some good items in the baskets.  As always, I thank each of you for your continued support and wish you luck for the drawing.   
   We are going to start the new year with some new technique classes.  Some you may have heard of before but we will introduce them slowly and have fun with it.   Check below for this week's classes.
   The specials from last week will continue this week and will go on until I finish with inventory.

Jan 6 - 1 PM - Alternative Folds for Unique Cards.   This card has 2 flaps similar to a trifold but better. Decorative papers are a must for this one.  It is possible to hide a message inside. Supplies included.  $8.00

Jan 8 - 11 AM - Calico Animals.   We will all make a cat to put on a tall card.  When finished, it will look like a corrugated cut out with real class! This card will take some extra work to finish and tools will have to be shared.  If you have a pair of small stamp edge or small zig-zag scissors, bring them. Everything included. $11.00

Jan 8 - 1 PM - Tag Book.   We will take a strip of 12 inch card stock for the outside and add tags and more for a finished project.  Décor papers will also be used and some embellishments.  This one is a fun card and the theme will be valentines.  All supplies included.  $11.00

     A new year is upon us.  Can you believe how fast 2010 has gone by?  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and your wishes came true.  If you missed out on store specials last week, they are still on plus we'll take 70% off the clearance corner!!  Inventory is coming up so guess who doesn't want to count those items.  Get them while they are cheap.
    Hours this week are the same as last week.  Closing early on Friday at 2 or 3 PM.  If there is no traffic around here, we'll close at 2.  If people are moving around here we will stay for a while.  Call before you come if it is late.  
    The only class this week is Thursday (tomorrow) at Noon.  We will be doing some paper engineering...moving parts are involved!!!!!   Of course, everything is included and only $8.00 for the class.  What a deal!!!!
    January classes are shaping up.  You will see more paper engineering, calico animals, new Hero classes and more.  We will stick to Thursday and Saturday classes unless there is a special request.
